Jordan's clothing and footwear imports hit JD 153 million in first half

According to the Jordanian Federation of Apparel, Footwear and Textile Merchants, Jordan’s clothing and footwear imports increased by 37.7% and 52.5% respectively in the first half of 2022, with China accounting for the majority of the shares, 41% and 65%, respectively. The head of the federation, Sultan Allen, said the increase in imports was mainly attributable to the gradual recovery of the national economy and the reduction of import tariffs.
